Graziella Bianchi and Renzo Fauciglietti

Graziella Bianchi Born at Cantù in 1946, after obtaining her high-school diploma from the Cantù State Institute of Interior Design Art she taught technical and artistic subjects for several years. She then took on a commercial role in her family's business, which enabled her to acquire skill in conducting relations with clients and in fully understanding their requirements, even those not explicitly expressed.

After marrying Renzo Fauciglietti she played an active part in all her husband's ventures and was sometimes the quiet inspirer of revolutionary undertakings, including Studio OK and then FAUCIGLIETTI. She has been co-owner and deputy president of FAUCIGLIETTI since its foundation, and is in charge of the corporate identity, finance, procurement and administrative accounting functions; she also makes an active contribution to the projects under development for the various sectors.

Renzo Fauciglietti Born at Biella in 1941, after obtaining his high-school diploma from the Cantù State Institute of Interior Design Art he attended the STS (Higher Institute of Engineering) in Switzerland, and then obtained a master's degree in industrial design. Since his student days he has always been in close contract with the world of research and development, design, engineering and production.

On completing his studies he found employment in the industrial sector, heading research and development and production with managerial rank. He has been working in applied research, design and engineering since 1976, handling projects in many industrial design sectors. He has added to his know-how through a continuous, constant further learning process, working with the leading Italian and foreign institutions: Politecnico of Milan, MIP, ITI, Centro Volta of Como, SDA Bocconi, and C.N.R. of Milan. He is a member of the ADI – BEDA – AIPI – ATA.

He works for specialist magazines as a member of their scientific committees, and has written articles on research and development and on applicational methodologies in product-process development. He was one of the founders of Italy's first research and development centres in the furniture sector, which made a major contribution to establishing the fame of Italian design products over the world.

He describes himself as a designer and researcher, and is a professed Christian. In 1986 he founded Studio OK, followed in 1989 by its offshoot FAUCIGLIETTI, with the precise intention of contributing to renewal in research and development, design and the creation of new design products. Fauciglietti has received many Italian and international awards, including: Nomination for the COMPASSO D’ORO in Milan and the NESTE FORMA FINLAND 3, 1st and 2nd prizes at TECNHOTEL in Genoa, Silver medal at BATIMAT in Paris. For Zeritalia, Graziella and Renzo Fauciglietti have designed the UFO coffee table.
