WIA Annual Faculty Luncheon
All WIA members
and their moms are invited to attend the WIA Annual Faculty Luncheon. Female
professors will be present to enjoy a catered lunch and share their
experiences
with us. Great opportunity to treat your MOM to a meal
for once on the Saturday of Moms weekend!

WIA Annual Faculty Luncheon 2007
LOGO Design Competition
The Luncheon is set to take place on the Mom's Weekend, April 14, 2007. The winning logo will be used on invitations cards, posters, and any publicity for the event. The contest is open to all students of the UIUC Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, and Landscape Architecture programs. The winning entry will receive $50 Starbucks Gift Card.
CONTENT DESCRIPTION
The Logo has to be 4" X 6" rectangular design including the following
information:
1. WIA
2. Women in Architecture
3. Annual WIA Faculty Luncheon
4. April 14th 2007
Submit a print out copy of the design with your name and email address on the back. A digital file (unflatten) must be submitted with your entry.
Limit of one person per design. We reserve the right to modify the winning the design for the purpose of graphic standards and printing.
DEADLINE
Please submit your design to WIA Mailbox in 107 TBH by Friday, March
30th 2007 at 5:00 pm Central Time.

Welcome back everyone! Women in Architecture has a lot of great events
this semester, including a Chicago Firms Tour, Female Faculty Luncheon,
and a trip to Springfield. And it's not too late to join!
We will be having a Kickoff Meeting this MONDAY JANUARY 22nd at 8pm in
TBH Atrium to discuss the events/plans for this semester. This meeting
is open to everyone, and there will be Spring Membership forms available
for people who are not yet members, but would want to partake in this
semester's events.
If you are unable to make the meeting and would like a Spring membership
form, please email Kira at kiraho@uiuc.edu.
WIA will be hosting Pizza in the Atrium tomorrow (Wednesday, November 29) with proceeds going to ASAC (who has funds for all architecture organizations), and we will be having a BAKE SALE nearby with proceeds going to WIA. We will be selling food in the Atrium of Temple Hoyne Buell Hall at 12:25p.

Just a reminder that the WIA mentor program application is due Wednesday, November 15. Same procedure-turn them in to the WIA mailbox in the Graduate Office of TBH (Rm. 104)! On Saturday, October 7, WIA will be holding its Social Event after selling football beads in the morning. For more information, click here!

The deadline for the WIA membership forms and fees has been extended to Friday, September 22. Remember to turn them in to Shannon Bridges or Kira Ho!
Remember, the form and membership fee to join WIA are due to Shannon Bridges (Treasurer) or to the WIA/Kira Ho mailbox in the graduate office of TBH (Rm 104) on Friday, September 15 Friday, September 22!
The social event for this year's members will be apple/pumpkin picking on October 7 at the Curtis Orchard. More details to come, please stay tuned for details!
Our first General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 6 at 7pm in the Temple Hoyne Buell Hall Atrium. Come for general information and to learn about upcoming events with Women in Architecture!
The 2006 FAA NEW STUDENT WELCOME will be held on Monday, August 21st at 2pm. Come visit the WIA at the Krannert Center for Performing Arts!
