The Green Rescheme Design Showcase and Competition at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's School of Architecture takes students' design studio projects and judges them on its integration of sustainable design and techniques. The projects will be presented to the school and to professionals from Chicago and the Champaign area via a showcase and interactive forum that will function as an educational experience, allowing students to understand how certain techniques were effectively implemented and can be applied to future work.

Student Projects - Registration Forms are due Friday, April 22, 2011. Click on "Students" on the left pane for more information.

The date for the Fifth Annual Green Rescheme Design Showcase and Competition, featuring the Donald E. Bergeson Energy and Environmentally Sensitive Award, is Thursday, May 5, 2011.

Through Green Rescheme, we aim to promote and honor the integration of green design in the built environment and to encourage the discussion of the advantages of sustainable design. Through guidance from faculty and professionals already incorporating smart design into their work, we hope to better the knowledge of the world’s next generation of young professionals.

Student projects ranging from the third year undergraduate level through the second year graduate level can be self-nominated. Both faculty and professionals in the field of architecture are invited to judge these projects, and one project from each year showing exemplary performance in green design are recognized through the Donald E. Bergeson Award and the EDC Green Rescheme Award.
