Saturday, April 11 After a breakfast at Perkins, we successfully visited the CCGT after many failed attempts in the past two years.
Saturday, March 14 at 10:00am Elise Pflederer from e-co lab took us through one of their single-family residences built to the Passive House Standard.
Urbana Park District Volunteer Day
Saturday, February 28 at 1:00pm With a group of about 30 volunteers, we took down invasive plants from the Perkins Road Wet Prairie in Urbana, IL.

BUILD in an iron-chef style competition, a selected green building, using a variety of ingredients
EAT AND WIN judging will be based on demonstration of sustainable elements, resemblance to the selected building, and tasteThe first EDC Edible Design Contest was a big success. We would like to thank everyone who came out to support EDC, learn a little bit about some sustainable buildings, and have a great time. We especially want to thank our judges: Prof. Hammann, Prof. Lerum, Prof. Kaha, and Don Fournier of the Building Research Council. We hope everyone had fun playing with their food and just in case you missed it this year you can see pictures and winners here.

Stelle Solar Homes Tour WebsiteEDC made its annual trip to Stelle, Illinois, for the Stelle Solar homes tour. It was just a few of the officers this year, but we all had a great time and learned a lot about how a community can commit itself to creating its own clean energy.
