We have the power to initiate change - change in all facets of style, conservation, and sustainability. Our solutions will be harnessed with tools given to us by education, technology, and experience in order to implement massive change for architects. We are the future of the profession, but also the force of the present passion for change. Kansas City is in transition. A small city that is easily overlooked for larger centers, KC has the individuals, desire, infrastructure, and big ideas to be a prominent leader in our changing design world.

FORUM is global gathering of architecture and design students and the annual convention of the American Institute of Architecture Students. This educational event offers students the opportunity to learn about issues facing architectural education and the profession, to meet other students and professionals with common interests, and to interact with today's leading architects, designers and those making a difference in the world through architecture. The convention will be hosted by the AIAS chapter at the University of Colorado--Denver.

FORUM 2008: ENERGY will explore not just issues related to sustainability and "green" design but also the "energy" of great architecture. Students and emerging professionals are invited to join in this conversation.
