SAMPLE END-OF-CLASS STUDENT COMMENTS

When you signed up for this studio, what were your own course objectives, i.e. what was it, specifically that you wanted to learn? Now that you have completed this course, relate what you actually learned back to your original objectives.

Sarah Bryar: "I think that I really understand what it means to have my project speak for itself and how to relate projects to the clients and those who will actually be using the building."

Tim Hillers: "...the main thing that I learned from the studio was how to (at least attempt) to work with others in a group."

Julia Prey: "With the real life projects we worked on, I was able to truly understand what it would be like to work with a client since we had access to them. I learned so much more than I anticipated in this course. I became familiar with how it would be to combine uses in a building for the betterment of the university, and how the people would react to that environment. I also learned about the importance of pro bono work, reaching the community in a way that I never would have imagined."

Camille Puronen: "I now understand that you can not guess or assume what the client will want. You must actively draw their attention to whatever it is you want them to critique, and listen carefully to their response."
