A Mission Statement

Define a context for a hypothetical Hospital Client: urban / rural / inner-city / 3rd world, etc; to define the essential population demographics: young / old / poor / diverse, etc; and to construct a Mission Statement for this Hospital.

 

A Process

Develop a presentation for their Client introducing current ideas regarding the "healing environment" with illustrations regarding how such concepts might influence planning and design.

 

A Patient Room

Design a prototypical patient room for their Client based on ideas and principles defined in the previous Charrette.

 

Design of a 50 Bed Rural Hospital
