You are to prepare a written proposal of
no more than six pages outlining what you believe are the key issues in
this project and how you would approach them with us. A 10 -minute presentation
of your most essential ideas will be scheduled. Your presentation should
include whatever visual materials you think may help us understand the
type of issues we should be considering, as well as your unique goals
for the project. The agenda is up to you. However, we will expect at least
some reference to fundamental issues relating to the entry sequence, waiting
areas, outdoor exposure, the role of nature, lighting, sound, way-finding,
privacy, and reducing stress. We also would like you to address the special
characteristics of your proposed facility that you believe respond to
the particular needs of our patient population as well as to the mission
of our hospital.
