1. ETHICOMP 2005 (Linköping University, Sweden)

ETHICOMP 2005 is the eighth conference in the series which has been running for 10 years. The conference will be held on September 12-15, 2005 at Linköping University, Sweden in collaboration with the Royal Institute of Technology. The aim of the conference is to present and discuss the social and ethical impact of advances in information and communication technologies on society, organisations and individuals.

2. EUSPEN 2005 (Montpellier, France)

5th international conference and 7th annual general meeting of the European Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology will be held on May 8-11, 2005.

3. NANOTECHNOLOGY:Ethical and Legal Issues (University of South Carolina)

In this conference, held on March 2-6, 2005 we explore the ethical and legal issues raised by nanotechnology and the larger convergence of technologies, including reflections on: toxicity of nanoparticles, environmental sustainability and remediation, human/machine interfaces, legal and ethical theories of nanotechnology, government regulations, scientific integrity and liberty, tech transfer, patenting and insurance liability, military use of nanotechnology, nanomedicine, international and developing world needs.

4. NSTI Nanotech (Anaheim, California)

Nanotech is the largest Nanotechnology conference in the world, held on May 8-12, 2005, providing collaborative direction to the growing community of nanoscience, technology and business. The Nanotech conference and tradeshow is the singular event where these emerging technologies first reach reality. The topics include health sciences, nano biotechnology, materials, surface science, transportation, energy, environmental issues, electronics, telecommunications, and computational applications.

5. NANOCOMPOSITES 2005-Commercial Applications, Business Opportunities, Technical Breakthroughs, Scientific Discoveries (San Francisco, California)

Nanocomposites 2005 will be held on August 22-24, 2005. The major topics will include nanoparticles, nanotubes, nano-Wires, nanomagnetics and core/shell systems; novel manufacturing methods and materials; medial applications; nanophotonic materials, structures and devices; and emerging commercial applications.
