Grading:

Weekly Summaries	40%
Quizzes	20%
Final Exam*	20%
Class Participation	20%

*Scheduled by the University. Please do not plan to leave town before the scheduled final exam.

Weekly Summary:

Each student will submit a summary (minimum of 750 words) of the previous week's presentation.
The summary should be submitted in the body of an email (not as attachment).
Each summary is due by 3:00 PM the following lecture day.
For easy identification place the course name and summary date in the Subject of your email (e.g. Arch-595IN, August 23 Summary).
Be sure to copy yourself on the message for your record.
Select High Priority for your message for easy identification and filing. It is important that you follow these rules for proper credit.

Quizzes:

There will be a number of quizzes during the semester. The lowest grade for each student will be dropped at the end of the semester. Make up quizzes will not be given. See Course Policies handout given in class for additional information.

Attendance:

Due to the nature of the course, students are expected to attend class regularly. If you missed class for some reason, be sure to check with the course instructor or other students immediately for any announcements and/or assignments made in class. You are still responsible for them. Excessive absenteeism will have further affects on your course grade. See Course Policies handout given in class for additional information.
