Using Visual Analysis. A number of assignments will be given for use of the Visual Analysis program developed by Integrated Engineering Software (IES). You will be introduced to the program before use.
Using The Internet. Students are expected to use the Internet for certain of their activities. All computer projects are submitted via e-mail. Occasionally, announcements are made via e-mail. Student scores/grades are often posted on the course Web page using a code name submitted by each student. Computer assignments may also be sent to students via e-mail. Course web pages include information important to the students and must be checked often for updates.
Submit project files to AAmin@Illinois.edu by attaching them to an e-mail message. You should send a carbon
copy of the message to yourself to check proper file transfer. Please note that you are responsible
for making sure that the message and proper files are sent.
Only the first submission will be accepted. Avoid repeat submissions. Do not submit your file until
you have made all the changes you wish to make.
Name your files using the first five letters of the your last name plus the project number. Use the default
file extension for the type of file in question. As an example, if John Maxwell were to submit an Excel file as
project number three, it would be named: maxwe3.xls.
Your name and project number must appear inside the file itself. This information is essential
for identifying file printouts, if necessary.
Submit files before the deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.
In case of inadequate number of computers in the lab, you may work with another student on a project.
Be sure to consult with your instructor if this is the case. You may work with another student on
computer projects only once during the entire semester. Please be sure to observe this rule to avoid not
receiving credit for your project.
